A Beautiful Beginning

This photo of me, ahhh soooo peaceful. Me in Virginia Beach over looking the ocean from my hotel balcony on the 7th floor over thanksgiving. Took my sweetheart with me, had a fantastic time there. He did a long drive from Chicago to Columbus then we both drove to VA together. It was a nice long ride. We really enjoyed each others company.
Weather was in the 50's there so we were able to take a walk on the beach and sit in the sand. We went to a cool bar together the night we stayed on the beach played a few fun games of pool had a few drinks. Unfortunately good things don't always turn out well in the end. After returning to Columbus on Sat, we had a long day of driving...we thought we would go out for a bit because he had to go home the following day. Well went out had a great time...then just as we were turning into my apartment complex we experienced a hit and run by a drunk driver. His car ended up having a lot of damages to it, and insurance would not cover anything because he only had minimum state coverage. He had to get a rental car to make it back to Chicago, and now I'm working on getting his car back on the road.
I feel so bad for him because it was nearly $2500 in damages. I'm doing my best to make this simple on him, I know it is very stressful.
